LOUISVILLE, KY, March 25, 2015 – Proposals are now being accepted for the 2015 Allan Cowen Innovation Fund for Advancement of the Arts Award. The $5,000 to $10,000 grant, established in 2013 to honor Cowen for his leadership, innovation and advancement of the Arts in the Kentuckiana region provides funding for Arts administrators and artists to pursue professional development opportunities which will allow them to explore innovative ideas, further develop their skills, and advance the Arts community long term.

Proposals will be open from March 23rd through May 1, 2015. Arts administrators and artists are encouraged to submit a two page proposal addressing the question, “What can I do to be innovative, develop myself and advance the Arts community long term?”

“I believe in the power of people to have a lasting impact on this community,” said Christen Boone, President & CEO of the Fund for the Arts. “The seeds of innovation are sewn when you invest, personally, in those individuals who have vision and ambition for improvement.”

2014 Allan Cowan Award winner Alison Huff, Walden Theatre Managing Director attended the Harvard Business School Executive Education: Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Leadership Program.
