As a Fund for the Arts Community Arts Grant Partner, The Cabbage Patch is able to provide interactive educational programming like the recent story time with illustrator Mary Ellen Stottman and author Linda Baker. Patch kids enjoyed puppets while hearing the story of Sideways Fred, a young frog who learns the power of determination and overcomes his greatest obstacle. Then they channeled these lessons into a hopping exercise that acted out Fred’s success!

Thank you for your support of the “Life Skills through the Performing Arts Project” at The Patch.
Your grant has helped many at-risk children and their families to enjoy the arts. Children have been
able to participate in classes and activities that greatly enhanced their understanding of the creative
process and promoted the growth of art appreciation. Additional gifts are the life skills they learned
such as: confidence, problem solving, creativity and perseverance were learned in these performing
arts classes.

THANK YOU! You are helping to make a profound difference in the lives of the at-risk children.
