Bella Voce Camp Rising 9th – 12th Grades
Terri E. Foster, principal teacher Bella Voce Camp anticipates another year of engaging serious solo singers. This camp is designed for rising 9th-12th grade students. The camp curriculum will include study of Vocal Literature: English, Italian, German and French, the study of Vocal Pedagogy: Resume Prep, Breathing and Vocal Mechanisms, Vocal Health, the study of Diction: Use of IPA (International Phonetic Al phabet), English, Italian, German and French, and Theory for Singers: Rhythm and Pitch Basics, Interval Recognition, Solfege. The camp will include two Private Voice Lessons with principal teacher, Terri E. Foster and two Master class opportunities with faculty members of area colleges/universities and performing arts institutions. The weeks work will be presented at a concert at 4 PM on Friday of the week which is free and open to the public. Singers interested will need to submit a singer information sheet no later than July 15, 2014. Once this information has been received, the singer will be contacted regarding scheduling an appointment for a vocal assessment (if needed) after the registration materials are reviewed.
Summer Vocal Camp Rising 4th-8th Grades
Dr. Louie L Bailey , principal teacher This interactive day camp will involve daily choir rehearsals, music theory, group voice instruction, audition preparation, rhythm and time for outdoor activities. The camp is for all singers who will be entering the 4th-8th grades in the fall of 2014. There is no audi tion required, all registrants will be accepted. The weeks work will be presented at a concert at 4 PM on Friday of the week which is free and open to the public. A completed registration form and fees are due no later than July 15, 2014. Camps will take place on the campus of the Sacred Heart School for the Performing Arts. An opportunity will be provided at camp for campers to audition to be a part of LYC for the 2014-2015 season.
The camp will travel to a local attraction on Wednesday for a group outing.

All camp fees include: lunch and snack daily, camp supplies and materials, camp t-shirt, local attraction admission and closing camp concert.
