Fund for the Arts and Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC announce open nominations for the fifth annual James Welch Sr. Arts Leadership Award, an honor that recognizes substantial impact to the Arts made by an individual through volunteer commitment and leadership in the community.
Nominations are being accepted August 20 – September 20 on the Fund for the Arts’ website, www.fundforthearts.com.
Qualified nominees will have made significant contributions and a lasting impact on the Arts community in a quiet, often unrecognized manner.
“The Fund for the Arts welcomes open nominations for this prestigious award,” said President and CEO Christen Boone. “Strong volunteer leadership is essential to the vibrancy and success of our community. Recognizing these individuals is important to continuing the incredible legacy of leadership we have in our region.”
The award was created in honor of the late James S. Welch Sr., a founding member of Stoll Keenon Ogden’s legacy law firm, who quietly provided decades of strong guidance and support to the Arts.

2013 – Nana Lampton, CEO, Hardscuffle Inc.
2012 – Todd Lowe, president and founder of Parthenon LLC;
2011 – Morton Boyd, chairman emeritus of The Gheens Foundation, Inc.
2010 – Tom Noland, Senior VP of Corporate Communications for Humana Inc..
