The Louisville Fund for the Arts, LVAA, and I.D.E.A.S. 40203 are teaming up with the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Center at JCTC to offer a crash-course in business for amateur artists looking for new ways to market and promote their work.  The class contains an in depth introduction to marketing and pricing artwork, as well as an overview of the various sales channels that exist for artists working in the fine, visual, decorative and craft arts fields.  “Creative U” also features a capstone event with I.D.E.A.S. 40203, where participants will get the chance to put their education into action and sell their work in an arts and community development showcase open to the public.

The class is open to all amateur and non-professional artists who want to make a better living doing what they love to do. Classes start June 24th and meet Tues/Thus evenings from 5:30-8pm through July 17th. The deadline to apply for partial tuition scholarships is May 31st.
