WOW – 1,400 middle school students filled the Brown Theatre this week to watch kids just like them perform live on stage. That’s right. The Louisville Youth Orchestra played Copland, Sibelius and Shostakovich while the audience sat mesmerized and jumped to its feet for a full five minute standing ovation. This historic concert launched a new partnership we have with Ben Sollee and the LYO. Ben visited several schools this week with his famous “wooden box” cello in tow. Ben turns every classroom into an exciting learning environment and leaves the students wanting more. How exciting is that!

Walk with me now and get a sneak peek into this truly historic concert by watching this weeks video blog.

It is that time of year!  Our fabulous Cultural Partners have been working hard to develop the most creative environment for your child to thrive in this summer.  View a listing of 2013 Arts and Culture Summer camps on our website today!
